Ocean Goddess Dress

An Ocean Goddess Mermaid dress that I handmade recently. This is a gorgeous and extremely well made dress with a beautiful color palette. I think this would make a nice dress for a dinner during a seaside vacation or wedding, or also for a mermaid or oceana themed event, such as a conservation fundraiser dinner or the California Mercon Bubble Ball.
Cotton Print high waisted bodice has a shaped fitted front and an elasticized back, a feature which allows for a snug yet comfortable and perfect looking fit through an entire size range. Sparkle accents on the front (high) waistband and a sateen back waist cinch ties to snatch that high waist/underbust.
Its a patchwork panel skirt, but here, the patches swirl at an angle which creates a fluid flowing feeling, leading into the lavender sateen flounce. The entire skirt is then embellished with additional flounces finished with a lattice edging style to give even more flowing and sea foamy feelings. Look at all the prints used in this dress, and the gorgeous mermaids and scales.
The bodice is lined in a cotton batik, and all of the skirt panels are cotton, so this will be a breathable and natural feeling dress.
This dress is actually a womens size XL, to fit bust measurements from 44" to 48", and, as mentioned before, the back panel is elasticized with casings to accommodate and adjust to any measurements within that range (and even slightly more or less).
Current length from the underbust/high waist band to bottom edge of the flounce is approx. 46", but purchase of the dress does include a free hem to desired length, so please just send me a quick message with your purchase if you would like that.
